Fotku je napravila Yoko Ono (1980god. manje od dva meseca pre kobnog dogadjaja), na njegov 40-ti rodjendan. Yoko mu je nastrikala sal, znacka-zastava na salu je takodje njen poklon: Rubini, safiri, dijamanti.Te 80-te je kostao $ 75.000.

Godinu dana ranije je poceo da vozi trke i pobedjuje. Postao je vlasnik Little Bastard-a devet dana pre fatalne nesrece koja se dogodila dok je vozio (200km/h) ka Salinas trkalistu.
Nadimak "Litle Bastard" je nastao kada je Dean sreo glumca Alec Guinness-a ispred jednog restorana i pokazao mu svoj novi auto. Alec je rekao da auto izgleda zlokobno, i da treba da ga se otarasi, ili ce biti mrtav za nedelju dana.To se i obistinilo.

Nosio ga je na ocevom zlatnom lancu (plaseci se da ga ne izgubi) govorio je da mu je taj sat amajlija. Drugi je gore prikazani "Westclox Wrist Ben" koji je takodje nosio i u kultnom filmu: "Rebel Without a Cause" i trci je bio "LeCoultre PowerMatic Nautilus " koji je imao na ruci tokom tragicne saobracajne nesrece.
